Men’s Mental Health Workshop: Building Resilience and Preventing Harm
A powerful and supportive Men’s Mental Health Workshop designed to address critical issues surrounding mental well-being and harm prevention. This workshop creates a safe space for men to explore challenges related to mental health, with a focus on preventing harmful behaviours such as suicide, self-harm and substance abuse.
This workshop goes beyond conventional mental health support, equipping participants with essential Emotional Intelligence (EI) skills, stress management techniques, and an understanding of how the body and brain respond to environmental stresses.
In this workshop, participants explore key Emotional Intelligence competencies—such as self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and resilience—to build skills that strengthen both mental and emotional well-being. Recognising how emotions influence decisions and behaviour is an essential step in preventing harmful coping strategies and reducing stress.
Additionally, the workshop will dive into the body’s natural fight-or-flight response, explaining how environmental stressors can trigger this powerful survival mechanism. Understanding how the brain and body react to perceived threats helps attendees develop tools to navigate stress, practice calm, and make intentional, healthy decisions even in challenging situations.
This workshop is open to men of all ages and backgrounds including those who are at-risk of suicide, self-harm, substance abuse.
Single Dads Group: Empowering Fathers for Healthier Lives
The Single Dads Group is a dedicated space for fathers navigating the unique challenges of raising children on their own. This group offers both emotional and practical support for single dads facing pressures related to family court, co-parenting, and the daily demands of parenting. Our goal is to reduce stress, promote positive coping methods, and prevent harmful behaviours such as substance abuse, self-harm, and suicide.
Through regular group meetings, and peer support, we address the mental health struggles often amplified by family court pressures, social isolation, and financial strain. Participants have access to peers with significant relevant experience navigating the family court system and building supportive relationships with their children.
The Single Dads Group offers a welcoming community that understands and respects each father's journey, providing the strength, resources, and resilience needed to build a positive future for themselves and their children.
Men’s Group: Strengthening Men’s Mental Health and Well-Being
The Men’s Group is a supportive, ongoing community for men committed to improving their mental health and well-being. As an extension of the Men’s Mental Health Workshop, this includes group and one-on-one breakout sessions and continues the mission of providing a safe, non-judgmental space where men can share their experiences, build connections, and develop skills for managing stress, enhancing emotional resilience, and addressing mental health challenges.
Focused on harm prevention, the Men’s Group addresses critical issues like suicide, self-harm, substance abuse by fostering open dialogue, reducing isolation and prevent harmful behaviours. Group sessions encourage men to discuss life’s pressures openly and learn new, healthy coping skills under the guidance of volunteer mental health professionals.
Through regular meetings, stress-management workshops, and peer-led discussions, members gain emotional support, practical insights, and effective techniques for dealing with life’s challenges.
Youth and Men’s Group: Building Resilience, Emotional Intelligence, and a Supportive Community
The Youth and Men’s Group is a unique intergenerational support space where young men and adult men come together to strengthen mental health, build community resilience, and address harm prevention areas such as suicide, self-harm, substance abuse. This mixed-age group and one-on-one breakout sessions provide a valuable opportunity for mentorship, shared experiences, and personal growth, helping participants navigate the challenges of life with greater confidence and support.
In each session, members learn Emotional Intelligence (EI) skills that are essential for recognising and managing emotions, cultivating empathy, and improving relationships. By developing competencies in self-awareness, emotional regulation, and stress management, participants can handle life’s pressures more effectively, reducing the risk of turning to harmful coping mechanisms.
Additionally, the group explores how the body and brain respond to environmental threats through the fight-or-flight response, helping members understand why they might feel reactive or overwhelmed in certain situations. Learning to identify these physiological responses empowers participants to pause, reflect, and choose positive ways to handle stress and anxiety.
This group is a place where young men can receive mentorship from adults, and adult men can find purpose in supporting the next generation.
Resilience Training Event: Building Emotional Intelligence and Harm Prevention Skills through Practical Adrenaline-Based Experiences
Resilience Training Events offers an immersive and practical experience where participants of all ages can explore their natural reactions to high-adrenaline scenarios in a safe, controlled setting. Focused on harm prevention in critical areas such as suicide, self-harm, substance abuse, these events utilise high-energy activities like go-karts, virtual racing simulators, and real-world motorsport experiences to trigger the body’s adrenaline response, creating a unique opportunity to build Emotional Intelligence (EI) skills and develop healthier responses to stress.
By experiencing real-time, adrenaline-driven moments, attendees will understand the body’s fight-or-flight response—where the brain’s rapid-response centre takes priority, overriding logical and reasoned thinking. Through these high-intensity exercises, participants learn to recognise and regulate physiological and emotional reactions, building essential EI competencies like self-awareness, impulse control, and stress management.
In addition to practical sessions, this mixed-age event promotes community resilience through group discussions and mentorship, offering a supportive environment where younger participants can learn from adult mentors and older participants find purpose in guiding the next generation. Attendees engage in post-activity discussions, reflecting on how the brain and body respond under stress and exploring healthier ways to cope with intense emotions in everyday life.
This powerful blend of experiential learning and group support equips participants with practical tools to reduce isolation, manage emotional distress associated with harm prevention in critical areas such as suicide, self-harm, substance abuse.
